Folks,

There is a new bracket series in being raced in Germany and The Netherlands. It is called Operation Street Legal, OSL in short.

It is a series with a joined Dutch and German championship and it is meant for the fast street cars. Every street legal car may enter the series.

So, how does it work:

Every event has about 1 - 1,5 day of time trials. Here each racer selects his/her oponent (grudge race). They proceed to the start area and perform a heads-up run. The fastest ET. from the time trials is the racer's personal index time (index).

During eliminations the racers are again able to select his/her own oponent. Though this time the personal index comes into play.

Example:
Racer A has an index of 14 sec.
Racer B has an index of 14,7 sec.
Racer B will leave 0,7 (14,7 - 14) sec. earlier than racer A.

When a racer has, during eliminations, an ET lower than his index (breakout) he/she is out of the race. When both racers breakout the racer that breaksout furthest is out of the race.

After every run a racer is allowed to adjust his index with max. 0,5 sec.. This is possible as long as he stays with the bracket (eg. 17,99 to 13,99).

When there is only 1 racer left he/she will run the finals against the racer with the fastest reaction time. The winner of this run is the overal winner of the event.

OSl races with a 0,5 sec sportsman tree.
(yellow, 0,5 sec, yellow, 0,5 sec, yellow, 0,5 sec, green)

When you have questions please respond to this discussion.

Other bracket classes are Sportsman ET, Pro ET, Super Pro ET, Competition Eliminator.

Thanks,
