Just chopping up some video tape. Figured that maybe someone might be interested in seeing some of this. Please excuse the bad quality, no editing and bad filming. I think this was 96-97 in Pirmasens.

Here were some motorcyles racing with Benni on the mic.

Here are some more motorcylcles. I can't comment on any of this because I really don't know jack about bikes.

Does this type of motorcycle racing still exist today? Is this a class of it's own?

Hi Alex !
These were the "Street 1" and "Street 2" classes of "All Harley Drags" if I remember correctly,
the class does exist but the number of competitors has gone down drastically,
lots of reasons : some have moved upward like Wolla now running Top Gas, some have stopped altogether like the HSP Team,
and race organizers did not offer the class due to fewer and fewer racers.
I guess Stefan Graff can tell more about this as he is one of the founders of AHD, now running his Sportster in SO/ET Bike.
There were also some familiar cars, like the golden Camaro of Karl-Heinz Weikum, another shot of Mountain Míke´s Monster
(he had waaaaay too much power but did not want to cut the classic body apart for bigger wheel tubs or a cage),
and who was running that Monza ? and low Mustang ?
Thanks for sharing these !

Benni,

Thanks for the info. I thought the gold camaro with the SHA license plate was belonged to the same fellow that runs the car today. Martin something? Not sure about the Mach1 type dragster. I think I remember it being a small block car.
