Hello,

I'm new to Germany and I am looking for a LS1 and T56 Transmission for a project - converting a 93 Mazda RX-7 to V8 power!

If you have any information, please let me know!

Thanks,
Kent

"Welcome to Germany, and to this forum !"
I am track announcer at most quartermiles, and always curious.....:D
Where are you originating from, and where in germany are you now ?
For what class are you aiming at with your Mazda project,
and do you have a set of german rules
(can you read german or have a buddy who can ?)
Cheers,
Benni

Thanks for the welcome!!!

I just moved from Monterey, California, and got to spend some time doing laps around Laguna Seca Raceway.

I currently live near Stuttgart, and love Germany. Everything is so clean, and we have met so many nice people. We are reminded of California, just without the "snobs".

For the Mazda project, I'm really looking to make it a daily driver, with some weekends at the track or autocross. I may build the motor up eventually, but my main goal is just to get it on the road!

I cannot read German yet, but I am learning!

Hi Kent !
Maybe you start a thread in the "marketplace" (marktplatz) forum here,
and see if any member can help you.
Is the LS-1 a corvette engine ?
Then I would suggest that you also check out the www.corvetteforum.de ,
registering there is as easy as here.
Thinking about that kind of project :
Do you have to comply to german vehicle registration rules ?
I think there has been a change of politics, and getting such a project on the (german) road is not as easy as it used to be,
even with US license plates (HK or AD).
If you want to have a go at the quartermile :
unfortunately, the number of dragstrips in germany cannot compare to sunny California,
I think the nearest would be Bitburg, but you must wait till the 08 season starts,
info at www.1on1-motorsports.de .
The other dates can be found in the "Termine" section on this board.
Good luck with your project,
Benni
