that's because of the taxiway's surface is an extremely soft asphalt finish which is very sticky also without glue. Super Gas run at 1200 feet high their 9.9 index with ease at test runs. At warm weather you may see the profile print of your shoes after standing there for a minute, not to mention the ones from the cars...
Since the majority of cars running at Bitburg is slower than 10 sec. street cars with street tires, and therefore a burnout does not do much except cleaning the tires, we decided to burn at the concrete area, which results in going around the corner to stage.
At first we burned on the taxiway but it caused major damage (with repair bill to me), so the airport does not leave us that option anymore.
We take it with humor, after the first wondering everybody accepts it as given, and since it is the same condition for all, it really don't matter.
