Moin !

Habe gerade dies hier auf der Seite von King Racing entdeckt :

"The new Hockenheim Quartermile offers grandstand seating and guest hospitality according to US standards. However, it also creates a big traction problem because of the startline location. As this area is also part of the runoff for Formula 1 and German Touring Car it must be cleaned all the time according to the FIA regulations. This of course takes away all the traction and ensures that every year we start with a virgin asphalt track that we only have 36 hours to turn into a high traction dragstrip.

Last year's experience has shown us that 36 hours is not long enough and so we are working with the track managers to find alternative solutions. racers should be in no doubt that that it is in our main interest to achieve perfect traction because record setting performance is the trademark for an event.

We have had an asphalt specialist from England (John Farrier) doing an analysis and giving advice about special preparations before putting the VHT down. This should work!! Being the promoter I also want a fast track to get new records in the media.

The comments of some racers, that we are somehow looking to save money by less than adequate preparation are absolute nonsense. We do our very best in Hockenheim to achieve optimal traction, despite there being no FIA or UEM regulations that perfect surface traction is obligatory. It will be the Friday qualifying session that will show how good the track really is, and that's what we will all have to live with. It is also encumbent on the racers to adjust their setup to conditions that exist on a particular day.

Our highly motivated and friendly organisation crew look forward to welcoming you to the 19th NitrOlympx!"
