Very sorry for that, the forecasts looked very bad so your descision is understandable.
Will there be a new date for the Internationals or the DraGten season to be shortened to the finals ?

Hello Slingshot,

when do competitors receive a offical eMail or word at Eurodragster about the new situation?
When the cancellation for the race is coming quickly, I personaly can cancel my rentacar and save about 600€.
Hope to hear something from explosion.nl or Jaap Selles.

The organizers at Drachten in EDRS Division South and Speedgroup wish to spread the word that the forthcoming EDRS event at Drachten Raceway scheduled July 20-22 have just been cancelled

At the point of cancellation there are around 130 teams entered. Chairman of the organizer eXplosion, Jaap Selles tells that the reason for cancelling the event already a week in advance is because the pit areas are on grass and at the moment the ground is very soft and wet already due to rain and more rain is forecasted for the period up to the event. With international participants entered Jaap Selles says they wish to let everyone know well in advance and therefore they took the decision today. The next event at Drachten is scheduled for August 17-19th and entry for that event will open shortly. It provide teams that have been at Hockenheim a good chance to race the weekend after on the way back to the UK, Scandinavia or nearby countries.
