The number of teams is increasing every year and the number of entries for the first event of the season is higher than ever before. Last year there were a total of 31 teams competing in the NDRS Bilsport Pro Mod Series. “This is a great turnout for the first event of the European Pro Mod season”, says Michael Gullqvist of European Pro Mod Association, EPMA. “We’ve never had a larger field at the first event and never with this many nationalities. This will be a great European event with teams from seven nations. The thing that’s most impressing to me is that the number of British PM teams seems to have doubled over the winter. I also know that there are probably about 15 more cars in Europe that will come out and play during the season. The Veidec Race at Mantorp, in the end of July, has always had the largest fields and will most likely host a record size field of qualifiers this year again. If the growth rate of Pro Mod in Europe continues, I think we will see more teams at an event than anywhere else in the world in a couple of years.”
